A Highly Flexible & Scalable Business-Critical Disk Storage System
A high-capacity SAN, the IBM TotalStorage DS4800 can accommodate up to 224 FC or SATA disk drives. As a result, the IBM System Storage DS4800 features a maximum disk storage capacity of up to 67.2 Terabytes (TB) with FC drives and up to 224TB with SATA drives. With the help of an EXP810, EXP710 or EXP100 expansion enclosure, the IBM DS4800 can scale to up to 14 EXP810's, up to 16 EXP710's and up to 16 EXP100's for a total of 224 disk drives, which can be added without interrupting operations if you wish. Another way that DS4800 systems showcase their flexibility is through cache size, which can scale to 16 Gigabytes (GB) of physical cache memory.
