The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array 2000sa (MSA2000sa) is the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) model of the HP StorageWorks MSA2000 family. The MSA2000 family also includes a Fibre Channel (FC) model and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) model.  The HP MSA2000sa storage array is ideally-suited for entry-level customers looking for high functionality and cutting-edge technology that will fit within their budget. The HP MSA2000sa is a 2U direct attach storage (DAS) array featuring two configuration options - a basic single controller model and an optimized dual controller model. The HP MSA2000sa features a SAS host interface and can be equipped with up to 12 Large Form Factor (LFF) enterprise-class SAS drives and archival-class Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) drives. The maximum disk storage capacity of an HP MSA2000sa ranges from 5.4 Terabytes (TB) SAS or 12TB SATA, all the way up to over 21.6TB SAS or 48TB SATA with added drive enclosures.
