The HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array (MSA) 20 is a 2U Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) disk drive enclosure designed to work with both HP ProLiant servers and HP Integrity servers. HP MSA 20 disk enclosures are able to connect to these servers by means of Ultra320 Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) host connectivity. Once connected, HP MSA20 disk enclosures work to expand the disk storage capacity of the HP ProLiant or HP Integrity server. In fact, the HP StorageWorks MSA disk enclosure can be equipped with up to 12 SATA drives for an additional 12 Terabytes (TB) of storage per enclosure. And while the HP MSA 20 provides such a high level of storage capacity, the price tag is surprisingly affordable – making it ideal for small and medium businesses (SMB) that need the extra storage but wouldn’t otherwise have the IT budget to support it.
