The HP D2000 disk enclosures series offers to main options: a Large Form Factor (LFF) disk enclosure and a Small Form Factor (SFF) disk enclosure. The HP D2700 disk enclosure is the SFF model, and offers a total of 25 2.5 inch drive bays. These drive bays support 3 different disk drive types including Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) and Solid State Drives (SSD). And while there are 25 drive bays within a single HP D2700 disk enclosure, this is not the limit and total support can grow all the way up to 100 SFF drives if desired. Designated by part number AJ941A, HP D2700 disk enclosures offer a host interface speed of 6 Gigabits per second (Gb/s) and are well-suited for a number of small application IT environments within enterprises such as small to medium businesses, remote offices, departmental locations and more.
