HP StorageWorks disk enclosures provide affordable tier 1, 2 or 3 storage for small to medium-sized businesses.  Ideal for exchange, database or small application environments with remote offices or department locations, the D2000 disk enclosures offer several advantages over other 3 Gigabyte (GB) storage networks. The primary advantage they offer is speed – the D2000 adds network bandwidth by operating at double the transfer rate. Additionally, D2000 disk enclosures offer an exceptional reliability and redundancy, which enables them to reduce Single Points of Failure (SPOF) within the network storage system. HP disk enclosures remain an affordable, modular solution by allowing you to purchase based off of your current needs, and not charging any hidden management fees if you need to add more storage down the road.

The HP D2000 disk enclosure offers two new 6 GB enclosures: Large Form Factor (LFF) D2600 and Small Form Factor (SFF) D2700. The LFF D2600 is equipped with 12 drive bays and can support up to 96 LFF total drives, while the SFF D2700 is equipped with 25 drive bays and can support up to 100 SFF drives. The management of D2000 disk array enclosures requires minimum IT experience, utilizing easy-to-use HP Systems Insight Manager and the HP Array Configuration Utility (ACU). Compatible with HP Smart Array SAS controllers, the HP D2000 is a highly flexible disk enclosure that allows you to mix and match SAS and Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) storage interface drives. The D2000 offers advantages such as higher performance capabilities and increased enclosure capacity.
