Dell PowerVault MD3200i

The Dell Powervault MD3200i is a first-class storage array that offers incomparable performance, scalability, and flexibility.  MD3200i Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) Storage Area Network (SAN) arrays are ideally suited for virtualized environments that need high availability and high capacity solutions. Some of its many features that make MD3200i arrays ideal for those specific environments include single and dual controller options, drives which can be mixed and matched to better accommodate a growing tiered storage array, and a 1 Gigabit (Gb) Ethernet network for a cost-effective solution. The 1Gb Ethernet host connectivity in particular makes Dell MD3200i iSCSI SAN’s a perfect solution for virtual environments because this option is far easier to use and learn than the more complicated Fibre Channel (FC) technology. Additionally, Dell PowerVault MD3200i arrays are fully capable of being used in virtualized application environments such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESX software.

The Dell PowerVault MD3200i iSCSI SAN are designed with user-friendliness in mind; even individuals that lack familiarity with storage systems should experience relatively easy user interaction.  Another way in which Dell MD3200i’s offer simplicity is through the MD Storage Manager Software. This software makes system management easy when maintaining and adding to growing datacenters.  The MD3200i can house up to (12) 3.5” SAS, NL, SAS and SSD drives of the 300GB, 450GB, and 600GB flavors;  500GB, 1TB, and 2TB are available in the Near-Line SAS flavor. And with high scalability, customers needing expansion can expect to house up to 96 drives with the MD1200/MD1220 expansion enclosures available. Furthermore, Dell MD3200i arrays feature support for a multitude of RAID levels including O, 1, 10, 5 and 6. So as you can see, there is no questioning the performance of the Dell MD3200i; it is a top-of-the-line storage array.
