Sun Fire V890 Server
The Sun Fire V890 server is a 17U rackmountable, mid-range system that utilizes UltraSPARC IV/IV+ processors.
Offered with up to eight processors at 1.05Ghz, 1.35Ghz (SPARC IV) or 1.5Ghz, 1.8Ghz and 2.1Ghz (SPARC IV+) processing speeds; the V890 systems feature one 1000Base-SX port, one fast ethernet 10/100T, one dedicated RSC card for ALOM, two standard USB ports, and a maximum of 128 gigabytes of memory in the 8 processor configuration. Up to twelve FC-AL disks in 73GB or 146GB capacities are supported internally; along with (9) hot swap PCI expansion slots and an internal SCSI controller for the DVD and removable media devices. The AC powered V890 server offers fully redundant, hot swap power supplies.
