Sun SPARC T Series Servers

The Sun SPARC T series offers many industry-leading features such as highly scalable, secure, and integrated server platform. One such feature is the type of processor that the Sun T-series is equipped with, since it is the industry’s first processor that is able to be fitted with up to 16 cores. As a result, the computing density of the T series servers is extremely high, allowing enterprise IT customers to have more computing power within the same amount of physical space. The added benefit of that is that datacenters can then avoid having to do expensive facility upgrades when a less expensive, and yet just as sufficient option is available. Another advantage that Oracle’s SPARC T-series servers provide include high efficiency power consumption, allowing for as high as 75% less energy used per concurrent thread that consequently result in reduced power and cooling expenses.

Further advantages of the Sun T-series servers include their ability to scale to support up to 512 threads per a 5U system, as well as their ability to provide zero cycle thread switching, which allows for multi-threaded applications to be processed more efficiently. And with still more advantages, the Sun T-series also features integrated on-chip, wire-speed cryptography for speedier response times and enhanced data protection, as well as integrated on-chip 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) for improved service levels and network performance. Great Lakes Computer carries a broad range of new and refurbished Sun SPARC T-series servers to ensure we can offer the best possible solution for your datacenter that is available within the T series product line. The T series server models carried include the latest T3-1, T3-2, T3-3 and T3-4 servers, as well as previous generation models such as Enterprise T5440, T5240, T5140, T5220, T5120, as well as the T1000 and T2000 models.
