HP ProLiant BL680c G7 Blade Servers

A full-height blade server, the HP ProLiant BL680c Generation 7 (G7) offers maximum computing performance with up to 4 Intel Xeon processors from the 7500 or E7-4800 series. Each processor series features multiple cores - the 7500 series can have up to 8 cores, while the E7-4800 series can have even more, going up to a maximum of 10 cores. In addition to the multiple cores, each processor is built upon 4 socket architecture, and contains 2 memory controllers per socket. As a result, BL680 G7 servers are incredibly dense and power-efficient. In fact, when compared to rack servers, these HP blade servers can reduce the amount of physical rack space required by up to 58%. Another way that ProLiant BL680 G7 servers provide power efficiency is through the type of memory they are able to support – namely, low voltage Registered Dual In-Line Memory Module (RDIMM). Additionally, BL680c G7 blade servers feature a new, more power-efficient, integrated memory buffer as well as support for Intel Intelligent Power Technology, which functions to simultaneously conserve power and provide power management capabilities.

HP ProLiant BL680c G7 servers are built to handle highly demanding workloads such a large consolidation projects, data-demanding, and network-intensive applications. Also designed to handle virtualization applications, HP BL680 G7 servers offer many choices when it comes to features such as operating systems, of which it supports an extensive selection including VMware, Red Hat, Windows and more. Other options that BL680 G7 blade servers provide include the amount of memory capacity, with the ability to support up to 4 terabytes (TB) of internal storage capacity as well as up to 2 TB of memory. Ensuring a high level of memory Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS), additional memory features of BL680 G7 servers include failed DIMM isolation, demand scrubbing, memory mirroring and memory failover. On top of all of these many advantages, ProLiant BL680c G7 servers also feature exceptional security with system security features including Intel Trusted Execution Technology Ready and Intel Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (Intel AES-NI).
