Since HP ProLiant BL460 G6 servers are configured in a half height form factor, they are able to double the data center’s server capacity not only through their design, abut also through features such as Power Regulator for ProLiant and Dynamic Power Capping. This is possible because management tools such as HP Systems Insight Manager and ProLiant Onboard Administrator work to centralize and simplify system management. Available with the purchase of an HP BL460 G6 server blade at no additional cost, HP Systems Insight Manager also functions to maximize server uptime, as well as server health.

Equipped with up to 2 Intel Xeon processors from either the 5500 or 5600 series, power and performance are not a concern with ProLiant BL460 G6 servers. Additionally, these processors offer the option of 2, 4, or 6 cores, allowing them to provide the BL460 G6 with a high computing density as well.
