HP ProLiant Servers

Designed for every size of business, HP ProLiant servers have three main product lines that allow you to choose what features work best for your requirements, whether you require superior performance, high availability, expandability or management – or even all of them combined! All energy efficient HP server solutions, the three main product lines of HP ProLiant servers that Great Lakes Computer carries includes HP ProLiant DL series, HP ProLiant ML series and HP ProLiant BL series. Built upon the same proven HP architecture, every server within these HP ProLiant series can boast an industry-standard infrastructure ready to become the solution your enterprise data center needs. With all of the options provided by the multitude of series available, HP ProLiant servers are able to provide a model that will fit the requirements for any of your data center applications - all while remaining a cost-efficient option no matter what series.

Beginning with the HP ProLiant DL server series, these are rackmount servers that can pack a computing density of up to 8 processors. As a result, they work best in applications such as High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters, exchange, virtualization, and messaging for compute intensive environments. The HP ProLiant ML server series, however, are expandable tower servers that support a range of 1 to 2 processors, although those processors may have 2 to 6 cores, ensuring that a decent amount of computing density is still provided. These particular HP servers are well-suited for applications including network deployment, filing and printing, and shared internet access.  And last but not least, the HP ProLiant BL server series, also referred to as HP BladeSystem, are HP blade servers. These ProLiant blade servers can be equipped with up to 12 core processors, making them ideal for high-performance applications including virtualization and mainstream business applications in large enterprise data centers.
