HP Integrity Rackmount Servers

HP Integrity rackmount servers are produced in two main product lines: entry-class and mid-range. While both of these product lines provide a high level of performance, flexibility and resilience, they differ in many ways in order to better suit the requirements of the business size for which they are targeted. For instance, when it comes to the type and number of processors utilized, the two HP Integrity rack server models have similarities and differences. While they both feature Intel Itanium processors, HP Integrity entry-class servers feature 2 or 4 processors with 1 to 4 processor cores. HP Integrity mid-range processors, however, feature 8 to 16 processors with 2 cores. Another example in which they have some similarities includes the software and management tools that HP Integrity rack servers are equipped with. For entry-class servers, management tools include HP Insight Manager and either HP Integrated Lights Out 2 or 3 (iLO-2, -3). Here the difference is very slight, as mid-range HP Integrity servers feature management tools including HP System Insight Manager and HP iLO-2, without the iLO-3 option. Both lines of HP Integrity rackmount servers feature the exact same software of HP Insight Dynamics – VSE and HP Service Guard Solutions – as well as supporting the same operating systems including HP-UX, VMS, Linux, and Windows.

Both entry-class and mid-range HP Integrity rack servers are highly flexible, ensuring that they both fit a wide range of applications, although those applications may greatly differ. For example, entry-class HP rack servers are ideal for applications including smaller and remote deployments, workload optimization, and virtualization, while mid-range Integrity rack servers are well-suited for applications including server and operating system consolidation and various enterprise data center applications. To meet the requirements of these demanding applications, both lines of HP Integrity rack servers feature a range of maximum memory, topping out at pretty high levels. For entry-class Integrity rackmount servers, there is a maximum memory range of 32 Gigabytes (GB) to 384 GB, while mid-range HP rackmount servers range from 256 GB to 512 GB. As evidenced by all of their many exceptional features, no matter your business size, the HP Integrity rack server product line will be able to fit your data center requirements.
