HP Integrity BL890c i2 Blade Server
The HP Integrity BL890c i2 delivers the performance, reliability, and availability on 64-bit operating systems (HP-UX 11i v3, Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 R2 for Itanium-based systems and OpenVMS v8.4) for the ultimate in scalability and flexibility in deployment.
The BL890c i2 server blade is an 8-socket full-height blade, featuring the latest Intel® Itanium® processor 9300 series with features such as Intel Cache Safe Technology and error hardened latches. The processors are supported by up to 1.5TB of memory (96 DIMM slots) with double chip spare, enabling a large memory footprint for demanding applications. It features sixteen (16) embedded Flex-10 (10 Gigabit) Ethernet ports standard. HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 technology offers up to 32 FlexNIC ports of Ethernet connectivity before adding additional server adapters. Up to eight (8) hot plug small form factor (SFF) SAS hard disk drives can be supported by the four (4) embedded smart array P410 Raid controllers. Customers have access to twelve (12) additional I/O expansion slots via mezzanine cards.
The Integrity BL890c i2 server blade is a full-height, quadruple wide (occupies 4 slots) system that will coexist with ProLiant server blades and StorageWorks storage blades within the BladeSystem c-Class enclosure. Utilizing HP’s unique Blade Link technology would allow customers to combine either four (4) BL860c i2 blades or two (2) BL870c i2 blades together to create a BL890 i2 (8 socket) system, providing greater flexibility to meet application growth.
