HP Integrity BL860c Servers

HP Integrity BL860c is a two socket full-height blade server designed to support mission critical application demands by means of many high-performance features. For instance, HP BL860c servers support up to two dual-core Intel Itanium 9100 series processors, 12 DIMM slots for 48 Gigabytes (GB) of DDR2 memory, two hot-pluggable Small Form Factor (SFF) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) disk drives, four integrated Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, and three mezzanine cards that provide 3 I/O expansion slots. All HP Integrity blades are supported on the following four 64-bit operating systems (OS): HP-UX, OpenVMS, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux. HP BL860c servers also provide an ease of management by using the HP BladeSystem's c-Class infrastructure, allowing them to co-exist with ProLiant server blades and StorageWorks storage blades, as well as through using HP Integrity’s Integrated Lights Out 2 (iLO-2) management software.

HP’s iLO-2 endows BL860c servers with advantages such as HP System Insight Manager, HP Integrity Essentials and more. HP Integrity BL860c blade servers offer many other advantages for enterprise IT environments, including high reliability, availability and performance, as well as exceptional scalability and flexibility. Even though HP BL860c servers are able to offer all of these advantages, they remain a cost-effective blade server option. Additionally, Integrity BL860c server blades are equipped with other features such as a local I/O connector, a standard RAID controller and an embedded LSI 1068 SAS RAID controller. Another great feature of HP Integrity BL860 blade servers is their vast virtualization capabilities that are the result of HP’s Virtual Server Environment (VSE). The VSE provides HP BL860c blade servers with additional components that include HP Integrity Virtual Machines, HP Service Guard, HP Integrity Essential Capacity Advisor and Virtualization Manager, HP VSE Reference architecture and more.
