HP AlphaServer DS15

The Alphaserver DS15A preceded the DS10 model with increased Central Processing Unit (CPU) speeds of up to 1 Gigahertz (GHz). HP AlphaServer DS15 servers also support Open VMS and Tru64 Unix operating systems (OS) as well as operating with a single Alpha processor and up to 4 Gigabytes (GB) of Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (SDRAM) memory. Furthermore, HP DS15 servers feature two alternate disk drive cage options that offer various disk and tape configurations: either front access or internal. DS15A also comes standard with 2 on-board Gigabit Network Interface Card (NIC) ports and embedded dual-port Ultra160 Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) controller for connection to internal and external storage. It has 4 x 64bit Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) slots for plenty of room to connect with additional networks or shared Storage Area Network (SAN) arrays. Other features of HP Alpha Server DS15’s include a single 400 Watt power supply, a concealed disk bay and HP Insight Manager technology.
