The HP9000 RP8440 server series offers high end business performance as well as maximum scalability for business critical needs. The ability to partition the server allows for even more flexibility for an application environment.

The RP8420 and the newer rp8440 allow a range of configurations to meet business needs. Choose one PA8800 CPU with minimal memory and hard drive space or max it out climbing to sixteen dual cores PA8900 CPU’s with 256GB’s of memory and eight 300GB hard Drives. Adding partitions allow one to split the internal hardware to act as a separate servers.

The entire HP 9000 server line boasts of longevity and investment protection with its ability to easily adapt to any existing IT infrastructure. The HP 9000 series PA-8900 processor uses the same HP zx1 Chipset designed to be compatible with HP's Integrity server line and was created with the with the Intel® Itanium® 2 processor in mind. The RP8440 servers were designed with standardization in mind to allow for easy in-box upgrades from one model to the next.
