It offers the highest level of scalability, and system availability with up to 256GB of memory to deliver an enhanced solution for RISC migration and data-demanding applications. The maximum internal storage is 5TB of SAS hot pluggable SFF 2.5”or LFF 3.5”disks, providing ample storage in a 4U factor form. It also includes four embedded Broadcom NetXtreme IITM 5708 Gigabit Ethernet NIC cards, allowing many different expansion options.

The R900 is an optimum platform for heavy data-traffic enterprise applications in a virtual environment, because it includes an embedded hypervisor—either VMWare’s or Citrix® XenServer.
