Dell PowerEdge C1100 Cloud Servers

Configured in a 1U form factor, Dell PowerEdge C1100 servers are built to handle the demands of the densest data centers such as Web 2.0, memcache and web analytics environments. Providing massive memory and disk storage capacity, C1100 servers are designed to work well for applications including High Performance Computing (HPC), cloud building, Web 2.0, data analysis, gaming and more. However, memory and disk storage aren’t the only exceptional features of Dell C1100 servers. Additional features include up to 2 Intel Xeon 5500 series or 5600 series processors with an option of 4 or 6 cores, as well as a choice of either dual redundant power supplies or single high-efficiency power supplies. In fact, flexibility in configuration through providing plenty of options is another great feature of Dell C1100 servers. Some examples of further options include a variety of chassis options, as well as a choice of operating systems through compatibility with leading companies such as Red Hat, Microsoft and Novell.

And the performance feature don’t stop there - C1100 servers feature a maximum memory capacity of up to 144 Gigabytes (GB) of Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory provided by 18 Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) slots. For instance, Dell C1100 servers offer the option of being equipped with 8 GB of low voltage DDR3 Samsung Green memory, which is specially designed to provide up to 70% more power savings when compared to previous generations. And when it comes to disk drives, PowerEdge C1100 servers can support either up to 4 x 3.5” or 10 x 2.5” hot-pluggable Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA), or Solid State Drives (SSD) disk drives. Some additional beneficial features include the option of 2 dedicated mezzanine connectors, which allow for SAS and 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) connectivity, as well as a x16 Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Express slot.
