The latest in virtualization-optimized blade servers, the Dell PowerEdge M710HD series offers many firsts in the M-series server family, including the first flexible network daughtercard (NDC) that enables future integrated connectivity options. In addition to this innovation, M710HD blade servers also offer many performance-enhancing features including exceptional I/O throughput, the option of robust Intel Xeon 5600 processors for maximized processing power, and optimal memory density with support for up to 192 Gigabytes (GB) when using Registered Dual In-line Memory Modules (RDIMMS). Configured with 18 DIMM slots, the M710 HD series offers further flexible, memory advantages with 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB or16 GB 1066 or 1333 Megahertz (MHz) of Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory. As a result, the Dell M710HD is able to offer the memory density of a full-height M710 blade server in a half-height form factor.
