The Dell PE M-710 full-height blade server uses the Intel Xeon 5500 Series Processor. With Intel’s Turbo Boost Technology, the M-Series blades can increase performance during peak usage periods; or scale back when demand decreases with Intel’s Intelligent Power Technology, which reduces operating costs and energy usage by proactively putting your server into lower power states.

The M-710 utilizes next generation DDR3 memory with 18 DIMM slots available, providing the most memory capacity of any blade server. The M710 is streamlined to implement virtualization with software from leading industry vendors, either by using an SD card or internal USB for embedded hypervisors.

Dell’s proprietary Flex I/O switches allow you to scale your I/O needs cost effectively, adding ports and functionality through switch modules (including 10Gb uplinks and stacking ports) instead of buying completely new switches.

FlexAddress helps manage communications between server and networking teams by providing slot-assigned, persistent WWN/MAC/iSCSI for maintenance, without additional management tools or proprietary hardware.
