The HP ProCurve series of 2910 al switches offers an affordable switching solution for enterprise IT environments looking to build a high performance network. These particular HP ProCurve switches are highly versatile since they offer various port configurations and capabilities to choose from to better suit your unique data center. In fact, there are four models within the HP ProCurve 2910 al switch series, and these models include: J9145A or HP E2910-24G al, J9146A or HP E2910-24-G-POE+ al, J9147A or HP E2910-48G al, or the J9148A or HP E2910-48G-POE+ al. The J9145A and J9146A feature 24 10/100/1000 ports, while the J9147A and J9148A feature 48 10/100/1000 ports. The POE+ within the part number designates which models have Power over Ethernet Plus (POE+) capabilities. While the POE+ capabilities are only available in 2 of the models, each model is equipped with 4 dual personality ports that allow for either 10/100/1000 or mini Giga Bit Interface Converter (GBIC) connectivity and have the option of up to 4 additional 10 Gigabit (Gb) ports that are either CX4 or SFP+.

 Further capabilities that HP ProCurve 2910al switches offer include static and RIP IPv4 routing, rate limiting, robust security and management capabilities, layer 4 prioritization, selectable queue configurations, VLAN support and tagging, traffic prioritization and more. And when it comes to model-specific capabilities, the models are again split 2 and 2, while the 24 10/100/1000 port models featuring 128 Gigabits per second (Gbps) switching fabric for up to 95 million packets per second (pps) while the 48 10/100/1000 port models feature 176 Gbps switching fabric and up to 131 million pps. With all of these capabilities and more, the HP ProCurve 2910 switch series is ideal for enterprise environments including edge and remote branch offices, converged networks and data center top of rack.
