For enterprise IT environments that are looking for managed, stackable switches for their network, the HP ProCurve 2810 switch series offers a high-performance solution.  Featuring secure 10/100/1000 connectivity, HP 2810 switches are surprisingly cost-effective and easy-to-use. Since 2810 switches are configured into a shallow 1U form factor, they are able to be used in multiple environments including smaller-sized wiring closets. In addition to the flexibility HP 2810 switches showcase when it comes to environment, they are also highly flexible in terms of the features and specifications that they provide. Since there are 2 models within the HP ProCurve 2810 switch series, much of the flexibility comes from having 2 different options of switch configurations. The 2 models in the HP 2810 ProCurve switch series include the E2810-24G (J9021A) and the E2810-48G (J9022A).

The E2810-24G and the E2810-48G HP ProCurve switches each feature different port configurations: the E2810-24G has 20 10/100/1000 ports while the E2810-48G has 44 10/100/1000 ports. However, these aren’t the end of their ports; both 2810 switch models feature 4 dual-personality ports that can allow for either RJ-45 10/100/1000 or mini-Gigabit Ethernet Interface Card (GBIC) fiber Gigabit connectivity. And when it comes to the features of the HP 2810 switches, the list gets even longer yet. Starting out with the Quality of Service (QoS) features, HP ProCurve 2810 switches are equipped with Layer 4 prioritization, traffic prioritization and class of service (CoS) capabilities. Another important feature set of the 2810 switch series includes their management capabilities, such as remote monitoring, dual flash images, single IP address management, multiple configuration files and troubleshooting. Last but not least are the security features of HP ProCurve 2810 switches, which include MAC address lockout, switch management logon security, port security, multiple user authentications and more.
