Cisco Catalyst 3750 Switches

The Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch series is designed to handle the networking requirements of branch offices and medium-sized enterprises. Some of the many applications that Cisco Catalyst 3750 switches work so well for in these environments include converged application deployments and high-density Gigabit Ethernet deployments. Due to the variety of configuration options offered by the Cisco 3750 switch series, including Cisco Catalyst 3750G switches, they also work well for network requirements such as access, aggregation and small network back-bone connectivity. In addition to high configuration flexibility, Catalyst 3750 switches feature automated intelligent network services configurations, and support for converged network patterns.

There are many advantages that come along with the Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch series. For instance, Cisco 3750 switches offer the option of coming equipped with either an IP Base image or an IP Services image. The key difference between the two IP images is that the IP Services image offers a more enterprise-class feature set than the IP Base image, such as static routing and rate limiting versus hardware-based IPv6 and multicast routing. Cisco Catalyst 3750 switches also offer features and benefits such as Cisco StackWise and Cisco EnergyWise technologies, for enhanced energy-efficiency as well as the ability to operate a stack of multiple 3750 switches as a single, logical device. In addition to a lower total cost of operation, Cisco 3750 switches feature an integrated wireless Local Area Network (LAN) controller, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities, granular connectivity and access control, and easy, plug-and-play deployment.
